2 More Sleeps

We are having an amazing trip and no stress, so very relaxing.  The flights went pretty well but we were really tired by the time we got to the cruise.  I managed to stay awake until 7:30pm so by the next day I wasn't suffering from jetlag.  It is so great to see other parts of the world and a cruise is the easiest way to do it-great ports at Sanya, China and Halong Bay, Vietnam (other port in Vietnam was cancelled due to bad weather-so another relaxing day at sea).  Today we arrived in Hong Kong-took an excusion this morning to the Peak, Stanley Market and Abberdeen.  We then checked into the hotel and walked around Kowloon, finding a park, some markets and most important Jade Street with the Jade market.  Tonight we walked to see the Symphany of Lights-which was okay but I think we were too tired after our busy day.

Very little internet access while on the ship as it costs $0.65/min.  I did have to check it a few times to see if there was any updates on our trip or Jaida.  Ann of Red Thread send me ten pictures of Jaida and said there was more coming of her birthday (so of course I had to go back on it later that day :)
Nice to see her at the park and she looks like she has grown.  These are the first pictures of Jaida not in the walker.  I picked this picture to post as it shows the split pants they were in China instead of wearing diapers.  On the cruise we saw a little boy wearing them

This is the outfit I sent in the first care package.  It is nice to know she received the package.  After I sent it I wished I didn't send an outfit.  I will have her so soon wearing all the fancy clothes that I don't think she needed to wear new clothes when the other children aren't.  Also, this is probably what she will be wearing when we get her-cute but I think it would have had more meaning to have clothing they actually wear in the orphanage

I was so excited to receive some birthday pictures.  I received 27 pictures which is more than I ever thought I would get.  When I saw them I couldn't understand why there was two cakes but found out the orphanage celebrates everyones birthday for the month with cake (so sweet) and then the one I ordered with the care package.

Happy Birthday Dong Fang Ming Yue (my beautiful Jaida)

Jaida looked so big in the pictures by herself I was worried all the clothes I bought would be too small.  But this picture with one of the caregivers shows she is my little peanut.

I love how happy the caregivers are with her.  I really thing she was well cared for and loved at SWI Taihe

Jaida with the care package we sent for her birthday.  The pillow looks huge next to her.  Not sure if we will have room to take it home :)
Well, I really should get to bed so I am only one sleep away from seeing my daughter in person.  Our flight is at 11:25am so we are leaving our hotel pretty early.  Jason has already been asleep for hours:)  Hopefully the internet access in Nanchang is good and I will have some spare time to update

  1. So this is my third message to you. I already posted on Facebook and the yahoo group but want to make sure you know how excited I am for your family and for Jaida to finally be together. You are all so blessed to be a family. I can't imagine how amazing you must feel and will feel in 2 days when you have her in your arms. Enjoy every minute of your time with Jaida and your time in her beautiful homeland. Can't wait to hear all about it and most of all see the pictures.
