1 More Sleep

We made it to China today and are all settled in and ready for Jaida.  We were well taken care of by our guide, she picked us up at the airport and took us to our hotel.  This has been the easiest trip for traveling and getting around.  I was nervous before I left but it couldn't have been any smoother.  Although, I guess we were lucky to get into China because our Visa was for a one-time visit and we went to China on our cruise also.  Didn't realize this until our guide mentioned it today; so the travel could have gotten complicated today if they didn't let us in.  But they did and we aren't leaving without Jaida :)
Our room is great.  I thought the hotel in Hong Kong had everything but this has even more: housecoats, slippers, doorbell, only lights with room card inserted, every amenity you could imagine (even undies if you run out:)  Then Jason went to lie down, it is like laying on cement.   Never experienced a bed so hard (I did hear the beds were hard but ...)  They then delivered stuff that we need for our baby-crib, stoller, bathtub and potty.  Jason thinks I should focus on training her since she might already be started - I suggested he take care of that one :)  It was even emotional seeing them deliver the crib; I really hope I'm not an emotional mess tomorrow and scare poor Jaida.
We then went for a walk to find the market.  We got some stuff we needed for Jaida, like formula, diapers and food. Buying the formula was a challenge as I have no idea what has iron or how many scoops per bottle.  Buying snacks for us was exciting- to see the variety of chips my boys would love (blueberry, lobster, and cucumber).  I also wanted chocolate of course- got some chocolate mint but to my disappointment it was chocolate green tea, Jason says I will be loving it within a couple of days.  Everyone is so friendly and the cutiest little girl said hi to Jason and asked him his name-when he answered then asked hers, the poor thing didn't know what to say (must not have learnt that) then said "how do you do"  We then had McDonald's for dinner (okay we also had it for breakfast) but the mint mocha latte and ice creams are amazing.
We are the only ones here tonight and the other three families will arrive tomorrow.  We will be getting Jaida around 11am, so we will have breakfast at the hotel and they will pick us up on the way to the govt office.  I am so happy we came here today to have our last quiet night and get settled before we get her.  The other families will be very tired and won't even have a chance to unpack before bringing their children to the hotel, I'm sure they will be fine as adrenaline and excitement will keep them going.
I should get to bed as tomorrow will come faster :)

PS  beware of the pictures to come, I am going to look really bad-my hair straightener doesn't work here, tried to find one here but no surprise I couldn't find one-they already have beautiful hair, so friz for the next two weeks (wish my hair was ponytail length).
